The Community Employment Specialist/Disabled Veteran Outreach Program
Specialist position is vital to serving Disabled Veterans in the South
and Southwest Counties of Region 8.
In particular, this person would work 60% of his/her time at the
Community Learning and Employment Center (CLEC) at Crane to provide
services to those Disabled Veterans seeking training and employment with
the Army or Navy or federal contractors at or near Crane. DWD
provided start up funding for CLEC and has dedicated this position to
provide support for its mission. The incumbent would work a day per
week each at the WorkOne Offices in Bedford and Linton providing services
to Disabled Veterans in those counties and those of their associated
Express offices.
Four (4) years work experience in Business Administration; Human
Resources; Public Administration; Social Services; Vocational Counseling;
a State or Federal employment service program; Educational Training
program; or accredited college training in a related field.

A minimum of 1-year billing/collection experience in a
health care organization. Minimum of 1-year medical insurance background
preferred.
1-year of accounting experience preferred.
Responsible for gathering charge information,
coordinating, coding, entering into database completes billing process and
distributing billing information.
Responsible for collection of delinquent patient
accounts.
Responsible for communicating and ensuring contractual
compliance with providers.

* Ability to
