Job Fair in Lebanon, IN on March 1st

In less than two weeks, Congressman Steve Buyer (IN-04) will host his 11th Hoosier Job Fair, and the event is sizing up to be a great opportunity for those Hoosiers who are unemployed or underemployed. The March 1st job fair currently has 64 businesses signed up to participate, offering 900 employment opportunities throughout the state. The 2010 Hoosier Job Fair will be held in Lebanon on Monday, March 1, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Witham Pavilion at the Boone County Fairgrounds.

“I am very sensitive to the state of our economy. Getting the economy back on track needs to be the priority of businesses and community leaders. This job fair is going to be a successful event for Hoosiers looking for employment,” said Buyer. “I encourage anyone who is unemployed or looking for new opportunities to attend the job fair on March 1st. The event is free and open to everyone, and will serve as a great opportunity to match prospective employees with at least 64 employers in one setting.”

The 2010 Hoosier Job Fair will have representatives from businesses all over the fourth congressional district and the state of Indiana. The job fair is free and open to all businesses, job-seekers and to those who may be searching for new opportunities. Businesses and job-seekers may sign up at www.stevebuyer.house.gov or by calling Michelle in the Congressman’s Plainfield District Office at (317) 838-0404.

“I greatly appreciate the partnership of State Senators Phil Boots and Jim Buck, State Representatives Cindy Noe and Jeff Thompson, Mayor Huck Lewis and the City of Lebanon, the Boone County Chamber of Commerce, the Boone County Economic Development Corporation and the Boone County Learning Center in helping to put together a successful job fair,” stated Buyer.

A final list of participating businesses will be posted on Congressman Buyer’s website and released to the press approximately one week prior to the 2010 Hoosier Job Fair.
