NOTICE SECURITY JOBS LOUISVILLE, KY AREA

Clark Security is seeking candidates for security officer positions to guard new vehicles in parking lots in the Louisville, KY area. Active National Guard members will be given preference for these positions. Candidates must be able to make walking rounds, write legible security reports, have a valid driver’s license, and personal vehicle to use for shelter on the job.

Clark Security will be providing 24 hour coverage seven days a week. Officers will be assigned on 8 hour shifts around the clock at the Manheim Auto Auction and at Churchill Downs track side parking lot. Applicants must be available to work all shifts, no shift preference. $9.00 hour wage plus $2.00 hour non taxable auto allowance to use their vehicle while on duty for shelter. Hourly wage and car allowance will total $11.00 per hour. We have an estimated start date of March 4th. We will fill up to 14 Shift Supervisor positions at $9.50 per hour plus the $2.00 per hour auto allowance. Supervisor applicants must have military or civilian supervisor experience. These positions will be filled through selection of the individuals by our HR department. Most likely not all Guard applicants for these supervisory positions will be selected and non selection would have no bearing on the individual leadership ability. All applicants for the supervisory position will be offered regular officer positions at one of the sites. Again, applicants must be available to work any shift at any site assigned, available 7 days a week.

Job Fair in Lebanon, IN on March 1st

In less than two weeks, Congressman Steve Buyer (IN-04) will host his 11th Hoosier Job Fair, and the event is sizing up to be a great opportunity for those Hoosiers who are unemployed or underemployed. The March 1st job fair currently has 64 businesses signed up to participate, offering 900 employment opportunities throughout the state. The 2010 Hoosier Job Fair will be held in Lebanon on Monday, March 1, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Witham Pavilion at the Boone County Fairgrounds.



“I am very sensitive to the state of our economy. Getting the economy back on track needs to be the priority of businesses and community leaders. This job fair is going to be a successful event for Hoosiers looking for employment,” said Buyer. “I encourage anyone who is unemployed or looking for new opportunities to attend the job fair on March 1st. The event is free and open to everyone, and will serve as a great opportunity to match prospective employees with at least 64 employers in one setting.”

The 2010 Hoosier Job Fair will have representatives from businesses all over the fourth congressional district and the state of Indiana. The job fair is free and open to all businesses, job-seekers and to those who may be searching for new opportunities. Businesses and job-seekers may sign up at www.stevebuyer.house.gov or by calling Michelle in the Congressman’s Plainfield District Office at (317) 838-0404.

Indiana State Police Seek Recruits for 70th Recruit Academy

The Indiana State Police is now accepting applications for the 70th Recruit Academy. Individuals who are interested in beginning a rewarding career as an Indiana State Trooper may apply online at http://www.in.gov/isp/2368.htm. This website will provide a detailed synopsis of the application process as well as a career with the Indiana State Police Department.

Applications must be received via e-mail by midnight on Sunday, February 28, 2010. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted for the 70th Recruit Academy.

Basic Eligibility Requirements and consideration factors for an Indiana State Trooper:

1. Be a United States citizen.
2. Be at least 21 and less than 40 years old when appointed as a police employee.
3. Have vision correctable to 20/50.
4. Must possess a valid driver's license to operate an automobile.
5. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED.

The Indiana State Police Department salary is competitive with the surrounding agencies. A recruit is paid $1,417.40 bi-weekly during the academy training. At the completion of academy training the starting salary is $38,444.00 a year. The Indiana State Police also offers an excellent health care plan, which includes medical, dental, vision and pharmacy coverage for both current and retired employees, along with their families. The Indiana State Police pension program provides a lifetime pension after 25 years of service. Additionally, the Indiana State Police Department provides comprehensive disability coverage and a life insurance program.

The 2020 Company, LLC (2020) is seeking qualified, trained and capable individuals to serve as Family Readiness Support Assistants for BCT/BDE Commands within the Army National Guard throughout the States and Territories. Family Readiness is a Commander’s responsibility. The ARNG FRSA position is designed to provide the Commander with a family readiness program assistant to coordinate all aspects of the Command’s Family Readiness Program. FRSAs assigned to the Commands will be formally supervised by the contract company, but will receive technical guidance and direction from the Commander or their representative.

Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive):
Serve as Family Readiness Program Assistant for the Commander
Provide assistance in development and implementation of Command’s Family Readiness Program
Serve as conduit for information and coordination for family matters within the Command
Provide training and hands-on assistance on the Command’s Family Readiness
Coordinate all aspects of the Family Readiness Triad—assistance, support, and readiness
Provide assistance to units and individuals to ensure accomplishment of all Deployment Cycle Support (DCS) tasks during the appropriate phase of the deployment cycle
Identify individuals and families requiring monitoring, follow-up or referral and coordinate with the appropriate internal points of contact
Provide assistance and training to Rear Detachment Commanders (RDC)
Develop a post-deployment reunion and reintegration plan for the Command
Coordinate with the state Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve point of contact on employer issues relative to Soldiers and Families within the Command
Provide assistance, support, and analysis as required to the state/territory FRA
Provide other deployment cycle support as required

Qualified candidates must have:
Knowledge, experience, and skills in the area of military personnel and Family programs. Demonstrated working knowledge of military wellbeing programs, family programs, and deployment cycle support.
Knowledge of the structure and operations of the Army National Guard
Exceptional customer service—good oral and written communication skills
Initiative and a “self-starter” attitude
Proficiently read, write, and understand the English language
A valid state driver’s license
Ability to pass any necessary background investigations, with a minimum NAC clearance
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Database use experience
