We are a small fabrication shop located between Winamac and Monticello where we build industrial filtration systems. I am in need of a welder. Additionally the welder needs carbon and stainless steel experience plus pipe welding experience. We will conduct a weld test as a beginning and then go from there – weld testing is by appointment only. Wage starts at $12.00/hour progressing to $13.50/hour within 90 days contingent upon skills, attitude and attendance.


Job Responsibilities: Normally works independently and receives no instruction on routine work. Receives general instruction on new assignments. Work is regularly checked.

Physical & Mental Demands: Physical ability to perform work in standing, stooping, sitting, and bending positions. Physical ability to lift 80 pounds. Must be able to stand/walk on hard surfaces more than 90% of the day. PPE is required.

General Duties:

1. Starts power supply and strikes arc which generates heat to melt and deposit metal from electrode to workpiece joining edges. Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle.

2. Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.

3. Manually applies filler rod to supply weld metal. Cleans or degreases weld joint or work piece, using wire brush, portable grinder, or chemical bath.

4. Repairs broken or cracked parts and fill holes. Prepares broken parts for welding by grooving or scarfing surfaces.

5. Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter, using hand scraper or power chipper. May preheat work piece, using hand torch or heating furnace.

6. Positions and clamps work pieces together or assemble them in jig or fixture. May tack assemblies together. May cut metal plates or structural shapes.

7. Performs related tasks, such as thermal cutting and grinding.

8. May be required to pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards of governmental agencies or professional and technical associations.
9. Learns safe operation of basic tools and materials
10. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:

1. Ability to read and understand company drawings and bills of material.

2. Ability to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals.

3. Requires a strong understanding of related mechanics and flow control elements.

4. Skill in operating a wide variety of hand and metal fabrication tools.

Overview:

Summary of Position The primary responsibilities of this position includes:


Create new DLR’s (design layout requests) that are in their queue in the system.



Audit and update existing circuit records for all circuits and trunk orders.



Coordinate the facility assignments with the corresponding LEC or Carrier.



Work together with the ICSC and the INA groups to expedite orders and work on ways to streamline the processing of the ASR (Access Service Requests) and ISR’s (Internal Service Requests).



Coordinate with Engineering (Transmission, Outside Plant, Central Office) if needed to notify them of potential challenges with equipment or lack thereof for the customer orders.




Identify where equipment is required, and order the equipment for field delivery.

Prepare and issue purchase orders in Infinium to request and purchase required network components.



Create information on the CLR/DLR to properly dispatch the circuit to Viryanet and to the proper techs in the field.





Requirements include: knowledge of network architecture relating to circuit and network design.

Have an understanding of provisioning and Bell core practices.

Excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written) and customer relation skills are required.

Knowledge of M6/AAIS and/or DPI (Access Services and Provisioning software) or experience in a similar system a plus and the Microsoft suite of products.

SHIPPING CLERK


Identify, assemble, package and label items for shipment according to shipping agent and customer specifications. Duties also include receiving material, checking for quality, and coordinating final delivery. Communicate through in-house software, electronically, and via phone with shipping companies, customers, and coworkers. Responsible for packaging, counting, storing, replenishing, and rotating stock in the warehouse or stockroom on a daily basis.

The perfect candidate will be self-motivated, able to use time management skills and prioritization skills to accomplish tasks independently and under deadlines. A detail-oriented person who is able to clearly and precisely communicate via various forms of communication (telephone, email, in writing, etc). A quick learner who can efficiently learn our thousands of products and various processes for shipping them.

Minimum Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis Must be able to bend, twist, squat throughout the workday.
Use time management skills and prioritization to accomplish the day's tasks within the hours provided Speak, write, read and communicate in English as needed.
See and hear within reasonably acceptable limits, (this includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally.
Must be 18 years of age
Must be available for overtime (defined as over 40 hours per week).
Must have at least minimal computer skills

Desired requirements:
