ADOS announcement for the Pre-Mobilization Training Assistance Element (PTAE) OIC open to Grades O-4 thru O-5 until 28 Feb 2009.

FULL-TIME NATIONAL GUARD ADOS ANNOUNCEMENT

1. POSITION AVAILABLE: PTAE (Pre-Mobilization Training Assistant Element)
Commander

2. LOCATION: Division Armory, 3912 W. Minnesota Street, Indianapolis, IN
46241-4064

3. ANNOUCEMENT

4. OPENING DATE: 31 January 2009

5. CLOSING DATE: 28 February 2009

6. START DATE: 18 April 2009

7. GRADE: MINIMUM GRADE: O-4 MAXIMUM GRADE: O-5

8. TOUR LENGTH: Minimum 365 days: Orders are subject to the availability of
funds and continuation of the mission requirements.

9. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
a. Member of the Indiana National Army National Guard.
b. Member must meet medical retention standards IAW AR 40-501,
Chapter 3.
c. Meet physical fitness standards IAW FM 21-20 and height/weight
standards IAW AR 600-9.
d. Not under current suspension of favorable personnel actions (flagged)
IAW AR 600-8-2
e. Must not have served on any combination of operational support for
more than 1,095 cumulative days (three years) out of the preceding
1,460 days (four years).
f. Must be able to complete the tour prior to achieving 17 years of Active
Service.

10. SELECTING SUPERVISOR: COL Kenneth E. Ring, JFHQ J2/3/5/7

11. MILITARY STATUS: ADOS, TITLE 32, SECTION 520(F)- SUBJECT TO
THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS

12. BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides training feedback to the supported unit
and TAG through the PTAE. Monitors unit training, tracking, and completion of
pre-mobilization training tasks. The PTAE OIC oversees, unit training information
and/or documentation through training unit channels to the DARNG. The PTAE
OIC supervises via the Command and Control Cell and Training Assistors (TAs)
and remains appraised of unit training plans, events, locations and provides
training completion data to the TAG.

13. QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Articulate 1st Army pre-mob training guidance and changes
b. Flexibility to work with JFHQ Directorates, MSCs,1st Army TSB and
NGB Training Certification Branch
c. Must have valid SECRET or interim SECRET Security Clearance
d. Passing APFT (within 12-months)
e. Meet requirements of AR 600-9, Army Weight Control Program
f. Not currently in key M-Day leadership position (Commander, 1SG, etc.)
g. Ability to perform Temporary Duty in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

14. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
a. Recent theater/deployment experience is desirable but not required
b. Upon being hired, must have working knowledge of
(1) Digital Training Management System (DTMS)
(2) Mobilization Planning Data Viewer (MPDV)
(3) 1st Army Commander Training Tool
(4) OC/T school

15. TOUR CONSTRAINTS
a. Commander
(1) Applicants must commit to a minimum of 365 continuous days
of duty.
(2) A Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move will not be entitled
and shipment goods will not be authorized.
(3) Orders are subject to the availability of funds and continuation
of the mission requirements.
