In-House Job Fair

Date: Monday, October 8
Time: 2pm-6pm
Location: 5454 Decatur Blvd., Indianapolis, IN  46241

FEDEX will be conducting a In-House Job Fair, Dock Tour, Application, and Interview completed on the same day Expectations for a good fit at FedEx SmartPost:

1.          Must be at least 18 years of age and out of high school
2.         Cannot work for another FedEx company or competitor
3.         Peak sort times will require employees to work up to a 6 hour sort every day for an average of 36 hours per week – either Saturday’s or Sunday’s will be required during peak (November – December)
4.         Employees are required to work on Thanksgiving
5.         The warehouse is HOT in the summer and COLD in the winter.  You must be able to work rapidly in these varying temperatures and may be required to work in confined spaces at heights above 10 feet. Packages can weigh up to 70 lbs.
6.         Must be able to meet production standards
7.         Must be able to work without access to your cell phone
8.         Pay rate is $10/hour

Peak Season at FedEx SmartPost:

1.          Peak season runs from Thanksgiving to Christmas
2.         Depending on volume, peak season may start prior to Thanksgiving
3.         Required to work Thanksgiving day
4.         Will work every weekend
5.         Will work 36 hours per week on average
6.         No time off is allowed during peak season

Sort Times and Availability Requirements:
1.          Day Sort Availability is Noon – 6:30pm Monday – Friday
2.         Twilight (Evening) Sort Availability is 6:00pm – 12:30am Monday – Friday
3.         Midnight Sort Availability is 11:00pm – 5:00am Monday - Friday  
4.         Working a Sunday rotation schedule is mandatory and hours of availability are subject to change.
5.         Employees must be available for the times listed above but will only work between 3-5 hours per day for an average of 15-20 hours per week
6.         We do not adjust hours for other jobs or for class schedules.
